Manage a collection

Collections are the main containers for your cards. Tags add a second layer of organization inside a collection and make focused study sessions easier to prepare.

Use collections for material that belongs together and should usually be reviewed together. Use tags when you need a flexible filter inside that collection.

Choose a collection structure​

Use broad collections when you want one large subject area:

  • Biology
  • English
  • Exam preparation
  • Medication knowledge

Then use tags for subtopics such as Heart, Vocabulary, Chapter 3, or Difficult.

Use smaller collections when you want stricter separation from the start:

  • Biology - Heart
  • English - Unit 1 vocabulary
  • Fire service - Vehicle knowledge
  • Medication knowledge - Painkillers

Both approaches work. You can still copy or move cards later when your structure changes.

Use tags for flexible filters​

Tags are helpful for:

  • topic filters;
  • exam relevance;
  • difficulty;
  • source lessons;
  • cards that need follow-up work.

When editing a card, add only tags that will help you find or study the card later. Too many tags can make filtering harder instead of easier.

Common actions​

Depending on your permissions, you can:

  • create, rename, and delete collections;
  • add, copy, move, or delete cards;
  • bulk-edit tags across selected cards;
  • export or import collections;
  • share a collection with another user.

Deletion and large transfer operations may continue in the background. The app shows progress so you can leave the initiating screen and return later.

Start with one collection per subject or exam area. Add tags only after you can name a real filter you expect to use in study sessions.
