Leitner mode
Leitner mode follows a card-box pattern. Correct answers move cards forward. Incorrect answers move cards back so they appear again sooner.
The goal is simple: easy cards become less frequent, while difficult cards stay in active review.
When to use Leitner mode
Use Leitner mode when:
- you want a clear correct-or-incorrect decision during review;
- you prefer a simple card-box system;
- the cards are short enough to judge quickly;
- you do not need the finer rating scale from Quality mode.
Multiple-choice cards
For multiple-choice questions, Memotoria can evaluate selected answers automatically. The app can use the result for the learning mode so you do not need to rate the card manually.
If you prefer to judge every card yourself, turn off automatic multiple-choice evaluation in the user settings.
Improve cards after failed reviews
If a card repeatedly moves back, the content may be unclear, too broad, or too hard to judge. Split it into smaller cards or rewrite the prompt before the next session.
