Use content blocks

Memotoria cards are made from content blocks. A simple card can use only one text block. A richer card can combine several block types on the front side, the back side, or both.

Available block types​

  • Text blocks for questions, answers, explanations, and lists.
  • Image blocks for diagrams, photos, screenshots, and visual prompts.
  • Formula blocks for mathematical, scientific, or technical notation.
  • Multiple-choice blocks for quiz-style answer options.
  • Hint blocks for supporting information or memory cues.
  • Divider blocks for separating longer card sections.
  • Audio blocks for pronunciation, listening, or spoken explanations.
  • Video blocks for movement, procedures, or visual explanations.

Image occlusion​

When an image is placed on the front side, selected regions can be covered. The answer side reveals the hidden areas. This is useful for labels, anatomical structures, map details, process steps, or visual prompts where one part should be recalled before it is shown.

Multiple choice​

A multiple-choice block can contain one or more correct answers. During study, Memotoria can evaluate selected options and use the result for the current learning mode.

Use multiple choice for exam-like prompts, but keep the question focused. A card with too many answer options is harder to review consistently.

Editing toolbar​

The editor toolbar follows the selected block. Text blocks show formatting tools such as bold, italic, lists, alignment, links, text color, and highlights.

Image blocks show image actions such as edit, replace, delete, or add occlusion. This keeps the editor focused on the content you are editing.

Keep rich cards reviewable​

Rich media should make the card easier to understand, not slower to review. If a card becomes too long, split it into several smaller cards.
