Import and export

Memotoria can move learning material between collections, accounts, and supported external formats.

Export collections​

When you have export permission, you can export a collection as a Memotoria deck file. Exports can include cards, tags, and supported media assets.

If the material is sensitive, use password encryption for the export file and share the password through a separate channel.

Import Memotoria deck files​

Memotoria previews deck files before importing them. The preview summarizes the content, tags, media, and expected storage impact before changes are written.

Small imports can complete directly. Larger imports may run as background jobs, and the app keeps showing progress until the collection is ready.

Import Brainyoo material​

Brainyoo imports support XML, BY2, and ZIP packages. Lessons are mapped to Memotoria tags so imported cards keep useful structure. Recognized Brainyoo favorites are imported as Memotoria favorites.

Import Anki material​

Anki imports support APKG and COLPKG packages. Deck paths and note tags remain available as Memotoria tags, and Anki card flags plus Anki's marked status are imported as Memotoria favorites.

Media notes​

If media files are missing, unsupported, or unsafe, Memotoria reports the issue in the preview and can mark affected cards for follow-up editing.

Import safety​

Memotoria validates supported media by file content and blocks unsafe SVG markup. File-size and total-size limits protect storage and prevent accidental large uploads.
