Quality mode

Quality mode asks you to rate how well you answered after revealing the back side of a card. It is useful when you want finer control over the learning signal than a simple correct-or-incorrect decision.

Ratings​

Typical ratings are:

  • Again: the answer was wrong or missing.
  • Hard: the answer was partly correct but not stable.
  • Unsure: the answer was neutral or unclear.
  • Good: the answer was mostly correct.
  • Easy: the answer was correct without effort.

When to use Quality mode​

Use Quality mode when:

  • you want to distinguish between weak, acceptable, and very easy answers;
  • a topic has many cards with different difficulty levels;
  • you are preparing for an exam and want the review schedule to react to your confidence.

Review honestly​

The mode works best when the rating reflects your real recall, not how familiar the answer looks after seeing it. If you needed the answer to remember the idea, choose a lower rating.
