Share a collection

Collection owners can share selected collections with other Memotoria users. This makes it possible to prepare, learn, and maintain study material together.

Share a collection​

  1. Open the collection overview.
  2. Open the collection menu.
  3. Choose the sharing action.
  4. Search for the user you want to add.
  5. Select the permissions.
  6. Confirm the share.

Permissions​

Read permission lets another user view and study the collection without changing its content.

Write permission lets another user edit content, such as adding or changing cards.

Export permission lets another user export the collection. Grant it deliberately because exported content can leave Memotoria.

Personal progress​

Shared content and personal learning state are separated. Another user can study the same shared cards without overwriting your favorites, flags, or learning progress.

Sharing tips​

  • Set a recognizable username before asking others to find you.
  • Start with read permission if another user only needs to study the material.
  • Add write permission only for people who should maintain the card content.
  • Review export permission separately from read and write access.
